Job summary

Ovolo Hotels is seeking an experienced Bar Supervisor to take full ownership of the bar, leading a skilled team and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. You will partner with the F&B General Manager to run smooth operations and uphold Ovolo standards.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years’ bar experience, strong organisational skills, and a hands-on, accountable approach to leadership, stock control, and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as a bar professional with accountability and hands-on approach.
• Must manage stock, coordinate orders, and maintain an organized bar for service.
• Able to train and support the team while upholding high cleanliness and presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day bar operations with appropriately staffed shifts.
• Oversee bar operations for efficiency, accuracy, and service quality.
• Design and deliver on- and off-the-job training for the team on products, menus, and service standards.
• Maintain high operational standards, procedures, and service.
• Create beverage operation standards and communicate them across the team.
• Monitor service standards and address underperformance via feedback and coaching.
• Control cash handling, floats, and billing procedures.
• Oversee beverage purchasing and stock takes to hit cost targets.
• Develop supplier relationships and ensure smooth beverage service.
• Foster morale and a productive, enjoyable team culture.
