Job summary

Accor is seeking a Full-Time Banquet Manager to lead banquets, events and conferencing at Darwin Airport Resorts. You will oversee setup, execution, and teardown, manage the banquet/F&B team, and ensure client requirements and timelines are met.

Based on site at 2 Henry Wrigley Drive, Eaton, NT, you will work closely with the Food and Beverage team and Sales to deliver exceptional events. The role requires strong leadership, beverage knowledge, and RSA certification.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in banquet or event management within a hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Strong knowledge of a variety of beverages including beer, wine, spirits and cocktails.
• Proven capability in creating a positive and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of all banquet events to ensure seamless delivery.
• Lead, train, and supervise banquet and F&B staff to maintain high service standards and team efficiency.
• Collaborate with kitchen and event planning teams to ensure all client requirements and timelines are met.
• Familiarise yourself with BEOs to ensure customer expectations are met and an exceptional experience provided.
• Set up systems to protect and maintain control of food service equipment, correctly recording breakages and carry our regular stock takes.
• Set up and maintain a weekly cleaning schedule for the service areas to achieve the highest possible hygiene and cleaning standards.
• Ensure staff are competent in menu, dietary and allergens knowledge. Ensure staff have some understanding of beverages.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly reports, commenting on key performance indicators and action taken to keep on target.
• Assist in recruiting, managing, training, developing and inspiring the banquets team.
• Be knowledgeable of and operate within appropriate outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies.
• Maintain currency of Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, amendments and updates and adhere to RSA principles.
• Oversee the setup and reset of specific Conference & Function activities. Ensure regular and effective communication with the Conference Sales Manager and Conference Coordinator, to meet the expectations of conference and event organisers.
• Evaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Check meals on collection from kitchen and deliver to guests promptly to maintain temperature and appearance; ensure items are announced.

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Full-Time Banquet Manager to take control over our Banquets, events and conferencing. Working on site at Darwin Airport Resorts, located at 2 Henry Wrigley Drive, Eaton, NT our new Banquets Manager will work closely with the Food and Beverage Team, the Conference and Events Sales Executive to take operational responsibilities for all conferencing, events and banquets within the hotel.

Additional Information

Currently accepting applications from 25th August 2026 until closing date of 25th September 2026. Salary on offer is $79,521.25 per annum AUD.
