Virgin Australia seeks a senior strategist to lead Velocity Banking Strategy & Growth, shaping the strategic direction of our financial services portfolio. You will blend product strategy, partnerships, customer insight and commercial priorities to drive growth and create differentiated, member-led propositions across banking products.

The role requires deep experience in strategic transformation and partnerships, with strong analytical and communication skills to influence senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience across strategic transformation or product strategy in financial services.
• Experience in product development and strategic partnership management across banking products.
• Strong planning and analytical skills with complex stakeholder governance experience.
• Proven ability to develop customer-led propositions in a banking/loyalty ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Shape and execute the strategic roadmap for Velocity Financial Services.
• Identify opportunities to expand the ecosystem via new products and partnerships.
• Develop strategies across deposits, lending, and other financial services.
• Create frameworks to optimise member lifetime value and cross-sell opportunities.
• Lead banking partnerships and negotiate multi-year roadmaps.
• Translate market data into strategic recommendations for executives.
• Build business cases and financial models for new products and segments.
• Present clear insights to senior stakeholders with evidence-based arguments.
