Job summary

Drakes Supermarkets is seeking a Bakery Assistant to support the Bakery Manager with daily operations, stock control, merchandising and customer service. This permanent part-time role starts at 25 hours per week, with shifts Mon-Fri 7am-6pm and alternate weekend work, located in South Australia.

You will assist with leading the team, maintaining product availability and inventory accuracy while upholding WH&S standards and delivering a great shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• Food handling experience or fresh food retail knowledge.
• Exposure to leading or supporting a team.
• Positive, can-do attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Commitment to work health and safety standards.
• Understanding of retail operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operations of the bakery department.
• Ensure full product availability and stock levels.
• Provide high level of service to customers.
• Lead and coach bakery team as directed by Bakery Manager.
• Manage inventory, merchandising and stock control.
• Generate rosters and support store coverage as needed.
