Job summary

Drakes Supermarkets is seeking a Bakery Assistant/Coordinator to support the Bakery Manager with day-to-day operations, ensuring products are available, well merchandised and customers receive excellent service.

You will lead and coach the team, manage rosters, monitor stock, and support adjacent stores when required. This permanent part-time role starts at 25 hours per week with early shifts and weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• Food handling experience or fresh food retail knowledge.
• Exposure to supporting or leading a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Commitment to work health and safety standards.
• Strong business acumen with an understanding of retail operations

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operations of the bakery department.
• Ensure inventory and stock levels are accurate and products are available.
• Merchandising and rostering duties.
• Lead and coach team members.
• Support nearby stores during leave or peak periods.
