Job summary

MidCoast Council’s Manning Entertainment Centre is seeking a Casual Theatre Loader to join the Production Team. You will assist with setup and pack down of lighting, sound, and staging, and help load equipment as part of a dynamic live-performance environment.

The role requires reliability, teamwork, and a readiness to work nights and weekends. Safety training and venue procedures are essential, including a Working with Children Check and White Card. Training will be provided on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in live theatre, events, or production support.
• Basic understanding of technical production (lighting, audio, staging).
• Work Health & Safety knowledge.
• Working with Children Check and NSW Construction Induction Card (White Card) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, setup and pack down of lighting, sound, staging, and other production equipment.
• Safely load and unload trucks and transport technical equipment.
• Support production crews with staging, set movements and backstage duties.
• Follow MEC safety procedures and report issues promptly.
• Maintain safe and professional working environment.
• Be available to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
