Job summary

Nine is seeking a Technical Lead to head the backend team for the core streaming platform powering 9Now and Stan. This hands-on role requires building resilient, high-performance distributed systems while fostering growth within a high-performing engineering team.

You will lead Go-focused development, own cloud-based systems, champion AI and automation, and align technical roadmaps with business goals through close collaboration with Product Managers.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams in a technical environment.
• Proficient in Go development and building backend services.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and distributed microservices.
• DevOps mindset with IaC and monitoring experience.
• Security-focused with auditing and best practices.
• Ability to drive AI and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead backend team building core streaming platform APIs.
• Write, review, and deploy high-performance Go code.
• Own full lifecycle of cloud-based distributed systems.
• Mentor engineers and manage performance.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to align roadmaps.
• Improve CI/CD and release processes.
• Lead root-cause analysis for production issues.
