Job summary

High Output Ventures is seeking a backend engineer to reinforce our TypeScript/NodeJS services. You will design and implement robust APIs, work with MongoDB and PostgreSQL, and collaborate with frontend teams to deliver reliable web applications.

You'll build reusable code, write tests, and participate in the full application lifecycle while adopting modern tech like GraphQL, REST, gRPC, and Docker. Join a driven team in Australia with flexible collaborations across departments.

Qualifications

• Backend development with TypeScript/JavaScript (NodeJS).
• Experience with DBMS such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with version control (Git).
• Knowledge of CQRS + Event Sourcing, Microservices, REST, GraphQL, gRPC and ActiveMQ.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle focusing on building the backend software.
• Write clean code and tests to develop reliable APIs for web applications.
• Collaborate with Frontend Engineers to integrate APIs.
• Build reusable code and libraries to simplify future developments.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications.
• Collaborate with product and design to gather specifications and requirements.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure high-quality output.
• Follow emerging technologies and adapt to reasonable changes.
• Working hours: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM UTC+01:00 or 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM GMT +8
