Job summary

Humanforce is seeking a Software Engineer to join our backend team in Melbourne, working on a new customer-facing product with a .NET-based backend and a multi-tenant data model. You will engage with Postgres, DynamoDB, and an internal SNS event bus to deliver scalable services.

You'll apply AI tooling to accelerate coding, design exploration, and documentation, while collaborating with product managers and cross-functional teams to ensure architecture aligns with our product strategy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Technical experience with C#, .Net, Postgres, DynamoDB.
• PHP experience.
• JavaScript, React or Angular.
• AWS or similar cloud technologies.
• AI Fluency, genuine comfort using AI tooling as part of how you work.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly within a diverse, cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend a modular monolith, a .NET-based backend with clean internal boundaries and a multi-tenant data model.
• Work with Postgres, DynamoDB, and an internal SNS event bus as the primary data and messaging infrastructure.
• Design and implement domain services (shift state machines, audit outbox, eligibility pipelines).
• Use AI tooling actively to accelerate code generation, design exploration, and documentation.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and flag when something does not add up.
• Collaborate with teammates to design and implement architectural approaches that integrate our product suite in enterprise environments.
• Contribute ideas for process improvements and technical innovation.
• Partner with Product Managers to understand requirements and deliver aligned solutions.
