Job summary

Pentana Solutions in Australia is hiring senior back-end engineers to own services end to end within a product squad, using C# and .NET on Azure. You'll craft well-structured, well-tested back-end systems built to last, with room to influence architecture and patterns.

You'll work closely with a product manager, QA and squad lead, delivering scalable services against fixed timelines while embracing AI-enabled tooling to move fast and maintain quality.

Qualifications

• Senior-level hands-on C# and .NET experience.
• Strong grounding in software design patterns and clean architecture.
• AI-native development mindset and use of AI for faster delivery.
• End-to-end service ownership from development through deployment.
• Azure experience and cloud tooling familiarity.
• DevOps exposure (Terraform, Bicep, GitHub).
• Backend-focused with occasional frontend collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own back-end services end to end inside a product squad, architecture, implementation, QA and deployment.
• Set the bar on back-end quality and the patterns other engineers follow.
• Work with a product manager, QA and squad lead; DevOps handles platform, you focus on services.
• Ship well-built services against fixed timelines in a two-year programme.
• Collaborate across squads as needed while leveraging AI-assisted tooling.
