Job summary

Captivate Events & Communications seeks an experienced Event Manager to deliver a portfolio of agency-style events across Australia in hybrid, live broadcast and in-person formats.

You will lead end-to-end event lifecycles, coordinate with internal teams, speakers and sponsors, and ensure delivery meets time, budget and client expectations. A minimum of 3 years' experience is required; familiarity with Event Air software is a plus; a degree in Event Management is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years experience delivering events across Australia.
• Experience with agency-style event delivery and end-to-end lifecycle.
• Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of budgeting, timelines and risk management.
• Relevant degree or certification in Event Management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage event logistics and operations, delegating tasks to coordinators.
• Speaker and sponsor engagement and preparation during execution.
• Venue and supplier sourcing, negotiation and contracting.
• Coordinate staff and resources for specific events.
• Troubleshoot conflicts and lead bump-in and bump-out.
• Develop relationships with event stakeholders, suppliers and partners.
• Contribute ideas to increase event impact and measure success.
