Job summary

Atturra is seeking an Azure Solutions Architect to support the Applications Domain Lead in assessing, migrating and modernising business apps onto Microsoft Azure. Based in Canberra, you will work across multiple client engagements, including Australian Federal Government agencies, with hands‑on discovery, design, and documentation.

You will drive migration strategies, guidance on rehost/replatform/refactor/rebuild, and collaborate with engineering squads to migrate to the Azure landing zone,

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in application development, technical analysis or solution design, ideally on the Microsoft stack (.NET, SQL Server).
• Hands‑on experience with Azure application services (App Services, Azure SQL, Storage, Functions, Logic Apps).
• Familiarity with cloud migration strategies and how to assess an application against them (8 Rs).
• Strong documentation, technical writing and ability to communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct application discovery with business owners, product teams and IT, capturing architecture, dependencies, data flows and hosting.
• Contribute to solution designs, migration plans and target‑state architecture for applications.
• Migrate applications into the Azure landing zone with App Services, Azure SQL, Storage, Functions, and integration services.
• Prepare testing activities and support cutover, hypercare and handover to operations.
