Job summary

The Recruitment Hive Pty Ltd in Canberra is seeking multiple Azure .NET Fullstack Engineers for a major Federal Government department focused on climate change, energy, environmental protection, heritage and water management. You will design, develop, test, deploy and maintain cloud-native .NET applications and REST APIs on Microsoft Azure.

You will work with Angular on the frontend, SQL Server/Azure SQL on data workloads, and secure access using Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and supporting .NET/Microsoft Azure applications and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, CI/CD, secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy & maintain cloud-native .NET applications and REST APIs on Microsoft Azure.
• Implement secure application and API access using Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0 & OpenID Connect.
• Analyse existing codebases to understand business rules, data transformations, and integrations.
• Develop modern web applications using Angular and contribute across the full stack.
• Work with SQL Server/Azure SQL and data-intensive workloads, including query development and optimization.
• Develop & optimize high-performance workloads, including HPC integration where required.

Our client, a major Federal Government department responsible for climate change, energy, environmental protection, heritage and water management, require the services of multiple Azure .Net Fullstack Engineers.

Duties of the Azure .Net Fullstack Engineer

• Design, develop, test, deploy & maintain cloud-native .NET applications & REST APIs on Microsoft Azure using services;
• Implement secure application and API access using Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0 & OpenID Connect;
• Analyse existing .NET, C++, Python & SQL codebases to understand business rules, calculations, data transformations, integrations & system behaviour;
• Develop modern web applications using Angular and contribute across the full application stack;
• Work with SQL Server, Azure SQL and data-intensive workloads, including query development, optimisation and performance tuning;
• Develop & optimise high-performance & computationally intensive workloads, including integration with High Performance Computing (HPC) environments where required.

Skills and Experience Required

• Demonstrated extensive experience developing & supporting applications using C#, .NET/.NET Framework & Microsoft Azure including delivery of secure, scalable & maintainable applications, APIs & services;
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, including REST APIs, distributed applications, automated testing, CI/CD, secure development practices, observability, performance optimisation & operational support;
