Job summary

Harrison McMillan Pty Ltd in Australia is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Developer to design, build and support secure, scalable cloud solutions for a major data transformation program. You will develop APIs, integration services and automated workflows that enable reliable data collection, validation and reporting.

You'll implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code, strengthen cloud security, and ensure alignment with government security standards.

Qualifications

• Experience designing cloud-native solutions on Azure.

Role Overview

The Azure Cloud Developer will play a key role in designing, building and maintaining cloud-native solutions within Microsoft Azure. Working closely with technical teams, architects and business stakeholders, you will develop APIs, integration services and automated workflows that support the collection, validation, processing and reporting of data.

You will also contribute to cloud security, deployment automation and system reliability, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient and aligned with relevant technical and security standards.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Demonstrated experience developing solutions using Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Azure Functions, App Services, API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, Storage Services and Key Vault.
• Familiarity with Azure Container Apps or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep, ARM Templates or Terraform.
• Strong understanding of API development, REST APIs, JSON, event-driven architecture and messaging services.
• Experience with data processing, transformation, validation and integration.
• Understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, authentication and authorisation.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and cloud-native engineering principles.
• Experience in government or highly regulated environments, with familiarity with IRAP and Australian Government security standards, will be highly regarded.
• Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills, with a focus on quality, security and delivery outcomes.
