Job summary

The Recruitment Hive Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud AI Engineer for a major Federal Government service-delivery agency responsible for Centrelink, Medicare, Child Support and other essential payments and services. The role focuses on designing end-to-end AI-enabled cloud platforms and leading secure, scalable deployments in hybrid environments.

You will implement and optimise enterprise AI solutions, manage kubernetes/OpenShift based AI pipelines, and ensure governance and security

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Cloud AI Engineer, including solution design, implementation & operation of greenfield & brownfield AI/ML environments across on-premise, public cloud & hybrid platforms.
• Experience in Kubernetes, OpenShift & OpenShift AI, including namespaces, RBAC, operators, CRDs, deployments, services, ingress/routes, secrets, config maps, workbenches, custom images, AI Pipelines/Kubeflow, model registry, model catalogue, model serving, distributed workloads & monitoring (desired).

Responsibilities

• Design, build & maintain secure, scalable & highly available cloud infrastructure supporting AI, ML & Generative AI services.
• Lead the implementation, configuration & optimisation of enterprise AI solutions, ensuring performance, resilience & operational excellence.
• Lead end-to-end solution analysis, design, integration, coexistence & migration.
• Ensure AI platforms & solutions comply with organisational security, governance & regulatory requirements through DevSecOps & secure-by-design principles.

Duties of the Senior Azure Cloud AI Engineer
