Job summary

Compas is seeking a Senior Azure & Microsoft 365 Cloud Engineer to support and improve secure Azure and Microsoft 365 environments for a major Australian Government collaboration platform. The role focuses on cloud operations, identity, security, endpoint management and automation, with a Location in ACT and a 12-month contract plus extensions.

Applicants must hold an NV1 clearance. You will manage Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access, SSO, MFA, and oversee Azure infrastructure, monitoring, backup

Qualifications

• Strong Azure and Microsoft 365 engineering experience in large enterprise environments.
• Hands-on Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams and Intune experience.
• Experience with Defender, Purview, DLP, security monitoring and cloud governance.
• Understanding of Australian Government security, risk and assurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support, manage and improve Microsoft 365 tenancies and related Azure services.
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access, SSO and MFA.
• Manage Azure infrastructure, networking, monitoring, backup and disaster recovery.
• Automate tenant and infrastructure tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI and IaC tooling.
