Job summary

Bluefin Resources is assisting a major bank in Melbourne or Sydney to hire an Azure DevOps Engineer with strong AKS expertise for a 12-month contract. The role supports a customer reliability engineering team with hybrid work arrangement requiring 2 days per week in the office.

You will engineer, automate and support Azure cloud infrastructure emphasizing AKS, design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and build IaC using Terraform.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Azure cloud engineering experience.
• Deep AKS experience, including platform build, administration, troubleshooting and optimisation.
• Solid automation and engineering capability across cloud infrastructure environments.
• Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.
• Experience in an SRE, reliability engineering or platform engineering environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, automate and support Azure cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on AKS.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable reliable, repeatable and secure delivery.
• Build and enhance Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Contribute to customer reliability engineering outcomes, improving resilience, availability and performance.
• Work closely with platform, engineering and reliability teams to uplift automation and operational maturity.
• Apply strong engineering practices to solve platform challenges, avoiding manual or reactive operations where automation is possible.
