Job summary

A major bank in Australia is seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to join a customer reliability engineering team on a permanent basis. The role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne and requires you to work in the office 2 days a week.

You will build reliable, automated and scalable cloud platforms focusing on AKS, CI/CD, and Terraform, while collaborating with platform, engineering and reliability teams to uplift automation maturity.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Azure cloud engineering experience with AKS.
• Terraform and IaC experience for building scalable platforms.
• Experience in SRE or platform engineering is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, automate and support Azure cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on AKS.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable, repeatable delivery.
• Build and enhance Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Contribute to customer reliability engineering outcomes, improving resilience, availability and performance.
• Work closely with platform, engineering and reliability teams to uplift automation and operational maturity.
• Apply strong engineering practices to solve platform challenges, avoiding manual or reactive operations where automation is possible.
