Job summary

NTT DATA in Canberra seeks a Cloud Engineer to ensure reliability, availability, and performance of systems and infrastructure. You will work with development and operations teams to improve resiliency, automate processes, and support Java applications in a Linux environment.

The role requires Australian citizenship with AGSVA NV1 security clearance and is based on-site in Canberra, ACT. You will collaborate across a multidisciplinary team and mentor peers while delivering cloud services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Demonstrated practical experience with Cloud Implementations and Microsoft Azure PROTECTED cloud environments.
• Experience with ElasticSearch and scripting with PowerShell.
• Troubleshooting Java applications on Linux and/or Java development experience.
• Experience creating and maintaining automated deployments.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Ansible and ARM preferred).
• Willingness to work full-time from client premises in Canberra.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS DevOps, Google Cloud DevOps, or CKA are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cloud development activities with stakeholders and technical resources.
• Interact with clients on-site to meet complex requirements.
• Escalate issues to Technical Lead and third parties as needed.
• Mentor engineers to share knowledge and best practices.
• Write reports and maintain project documentation.
• Contribute to complex design work and own relevant technologies.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code for various systems.
• Support Java applications on Linux; perform performance tuning.
• Collaborate across diverse teams to implement operational improvements.
