The Recruitment Company in Sydney is seeking an AWS Engineering Lead to own technical solutions, guide engineers and deliver cloud platforms for enterprise clients. You will work across architecture, infrastructure automation and cloud-native delivery while staying hands-on with engineering challenges.

The role requires 6–10 years of AWS experience, strong hands-on AWS capabilities, and leadership skills. Located in Sydney CBD with on-site client work; salary package of AUD 128,000–167,860 plus

• 6–10 years AWS/cloud engineering experience
• Strong production AWS architecture and hands-on engineering capability
• Proven experience with Terraform and/or AWS CDK
• Understanding of AWS landing zones, networking, IAM and multi-account architecture
• Experience with Python, automation, CI/CD and cloud-native technologies
• Experience guiding engineers or leading technical delivery workstreams
• Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging directly with enterprise clients

We're partnering with a leading global consulting organisation expanding its AWS Engineering capability across several significant enterprise transformation programmes.

We're looking for a hands‑on AWS Engineering Lead who can take ownership of technical solutions, guide engineers and deliver well‑designed cloud platforms for enterprise clients.

You’ll work across architecture, infrastructure automation, cloud‑native engineering and technical delivery, while remaining actively involved in solving complex engineering challenges.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead the design and delivery of enterprise AWS engineering solutions.
• Architect secure multi‑account AWS environments, landing zones and cloud foundations.
• Work with AWS Control Tower, Organizations, IAM, networking and security guardrails.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CDK and CloudFormation.

What we’re looking for

• Experience with Python, automation, CI/CD and cloud‑native technologies.
