Job summary

TRC Group is seeking an AWS Engineering Lead in Sydney to own enterprise cloud solutions. You will guide architectures, implement landing zones, and drive IaC across Terraform, AWS CDK, and CloudFormation while mentoring engineers.

The role involves direct client engagement and delivery governance in a fast‑paced consulting environment. Ideal candidates have 6–10 years of AWS/cloud experience, strong Python/CI/CD skills, and proven leadership capabilities to deliver secure, scalable cloud

• 6–10 years of AWS/cloud engineering experience.
• Proven hands-on AWS architecture and delivery capability.
• Experience with Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Understanding landing zones, networking, IAM and multi-account architecture.
• Experience with Python, automation, CI/CD and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience guiding engineers or leading technical delivery workstreams.
• Excellent communication with enterprise clients.

We're partnering with a leading global consulting organisation expanding its AWS Engineering capability across several significant enterprise transformation programmes.

We're looking for a hands‑on AWS Engineering Lead who can take ownership of technical solutions, guide engineers and deliver well‑designed cloud platforms for enterprise clients.

You’ll work across architecture, infrastructure automation, cloud‑native engineering and technical delivery, while remaining actively involved in solving complex engineering challenges.

What you’ll be doing

What we’re looking for

• Approximately 6–10 years of relevant AWS/cloud engineering experience.
• Strong production AWS architecture and hands‑on engineering capability.
• Proven experience with Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Understanding of AWS landing zones, networking, IAM and multi‑account architecture.
• Experience with Python, automation, CI/CD and cloud‑native technologies.
• Experience guiding engineers or leading technical delivery workstreams.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging directly with enterprise clients.
