Job summary

City of Melbourne is seeking an experienced Solution Architect - Cloud and Infrastructure to lead the future direction of our cloud and infrastructure landscape. This role will drive our cloud-first strategy, modernise platforms, and guide the transition of services into AWS while reporting to the Enterprise Architect.

You will provide strategic leadership across cloud, infrastructure, security and architecture governance, collaborating with executives, project teams and delivery partners to

Qualifications

• Significant experience designing and governing enterprise-scale cloud and infrastructure architectures.
• Demonstrated success leading AWS cloud transformation, infrastructure modernisation and large-scale migrations.
• Experience developing architecture standards, governance processes and strategic roadmaps.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with ability to influence senior leaders and drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of enterprise cloud and infrastructure architecture roadmaps and reference architectures.
• Shape and govern the AWS cloud strategy and infrastructure modernisation initiatives.
• Provide expert advice to executives, project teams and delivery partners.
• Drive architecture governance to align solutions with enterprise principles and security standards.
• Lead planning for cloud migration, infra transformation and platform optimisation programs.
