Job summary

Raytheon Australia is seeking an Apprentice Avionics Technician to join our ILM facility at RAAF Base Amberley, contributing to maintenance on aeronautical products used in the Defence of Australia.

You will undertake Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics) and gain hands-on experience alongside experienced technicians on the ACEASP program, with structured training, safety focus and clear development pathways.

Qualifications

• Must have successfully completed all theory training requirements of a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics) delivered by a recognised training provider.
• A willingness to learn with genuine interest and passion for the role.
• Effective communication skills: actively listens and communicates with others clearly, openly, and respectfully.
• Teamwork mindset: works with and supports others to achieve organisational goals, responds constructively to instructions and procedures, listens, values opinions, works effectively, and promotes a positive team environment.
• Must be an Australian citizen and/or eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Undertake training requirements and maintain apprenticeship progression and journal currency as directed, to successfully complete a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics).
• Provide assistance and perform maintenance tasks as directed, to facilitate repair, service and overhaul of aeronautical product within the Australian Defence Force (ADF) technical airworthiness guidelines.
• Ensure safe work practices are followed and observe relevant Work, Health and Safety regulations and procedures.
• Ensure technical, quality and regulatory compliance is conducted and maintained to meet Defence Aviation Safety Regulations and ISO certifications.
