Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking Expressions of Interest from motivated 3rd or 4th year Apprentices (Mechanical and Avionics) to complete their training and transition into a professional career at Swartz Barracks, Oakey, Queensland.

You will join the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) program and progress into a junior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer role, gaining hands-on experience on the EC-135 T3H helicopter in a world-class defence environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or nearing completion of Certificate IV in Aeroskills.
• Australian Citizenship for defence security requirements.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Commitment to a long-term career in Defence aviation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the MRO team with maintenance, modifications, servicing and inspections.
• Learn fault-finding on complex aircraft systems under supervision.
• Develop compliance with DASR Part 145 MOE regulations.
• Gain hands-on experience with documentation and QA procedures.
• Operate within a structured Environment Health & Safety culture.
