Job summary

BGIS Technical Trade Services in Mascot, NSW, is seeking a Trade Services Supervisor to lead a skilled trades team within a major aviation environment. You will oversee service delivery, maintenance operations, quoting, minor works, and team performance to ensure critical airport infrastructure remains safe, compliant, and operational.

You will manage day-to-day maintenance activities, client relationships, subcontractor coordination, and apprentices, working with Account Manager, Facilities

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or licence in a construction or building services trade.
• Current Driver's Licence.
• Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a trade environment.
• Experience in aviation or critical infrastructure environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support a team of trade personnel to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Oversee maintenance activities, minor works, installations, and reactive maintenance across critical infrastructure assets.
• Manage quoting, tendering, and service delivery activities to ensure contract KPIs are achieved.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Monitor team performance, approve timesheets, conduct toolbox talks, and support workforce planning.
• Mentor apprentices and trade team members.
• Prepare monthly reports and participate in client meetings and operational reviews.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, safety requirements, and company procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and support for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Coordinate emergency response activities and support operational continuity.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and enhanced service delivery.
• Promote a positive safety culture and strong team environment.
