Job summary

AECOM in Melbourne seeks a senior Airport Infrastructure engineer to contribute to the design and delivery of aviation projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, and AGL systems. Qualifications

• The role requires advanced Autodesk Civil 3D capability and experience on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of BIM processes and digital delivery standards.
• Proficiency with ProjectWise, BIM 360/ACC, Navisworks Manage; familiar with Dynamo and Python.
• Experience in design, planning and construction support for civil/airport projects is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Civil Aviation standards (CASA/ICAO etc) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and delivery of airport engineering projects (runways, taxiways, aprons, AGL, signage).
• Develop high‑quality 3D models and 2D drawings, leveraging automation to improve efficiency.
• Manage digital models and documentation in ProjectWise and ACC, supporting BIM workflows.
• Take ownership of deliverables, aligning with programmes, budgets, and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across ANZ and participate in client discussions.
• Perform model validation and clash detection in line with QA processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of digital delivery standards and templates.
