Job summary

Akkodis is seeking AVEVA PI System professionals for a Brisbane-based 12-month contract in a hybrid work setting. The role spans IT and OT environments, with responsibilities across implementation, configuration, development and ongoing support of AVEVA PI solutions in a major utilities program.

You will work on PI Data Archive, AF models, PI Vision dashboards and interfaces, collaborating with SCADA and enterprise platforms. Immediate availability is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Experience across AVEVA PI / OSIsoft PI System environments.
• Experience in IT and OT environments within utilities or asset-intensive settings.
• Ability to design and implement AF models, dashboards and analyses.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, develop and support AVEVA PI solutions for real-time data.
• Install, configure and administer PI System components and environments.
• Design and develop AF models and asset hierarchies; create analyses and event frames.
• Configure PI Vision dashboards; manage interfaces and connectors.
• Support integration with SCADA and enterprise platforms; monitor health and performance.
• Troubleshoot platform, infrastructure and integration issues; support DR and security.
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer; assist testing and operational readiness.

Akkodis is currently seeking experienced AVEVA / OSIsoft PI System professionals to support a major technology program within the utilities sector.

This is an opportunity to work within a complex IT and Operational Technology (OT) environment, supporting the implementation and ongoing development of a modern operational data platform.

We are interested in speaking with experienced AVEVA PI Architects, Developers, Engineers and System Specialists who have delivered and supported PI solutions within complex operational environments.

The Role

Working across the AVEVA PI System environment, you will be involved in the implementation, configuration, development and support of solutions used to collect, manage, visualise and analyse real-time operational data.

• Installing, configuring and administering AVEVA PI System components and environments
• Managing and supporting PI Data Archive
• Designing and developing PI Asset Framework (AF) models and asset hierarchies
• Developing PI Analyses, calculations and Event Frames
• Configuring and developing PI Vision dashboards and displays
• Managing PI Interfaces and Connectors
• Supporting integration with SCADA, Industrial Control Systems and enterprise platforms
• Monitoring system health, performance, capacity and availability
• Troubleshooting platform, infrastructure and integration issues
• Supporting backup, recovery, high availability and disaster recovery requirements
• Managing system access and security configurations
• Supporting testing, commissioning and operational readiness
• Providing technical documentation and knowledge transfer

Skills & Experience

We are looking for people with demonstrated experience across AVEVA PI / OSIsoft PI System environments, including several of the following:

• AVEVA PI Data Archive
• PI Asset Framework (AF)
• PI Vision
• PI Analyses
• PI Event Frames
• PI Interfaces and Connectors
• SCADA Systems
• Operational Technology (OT)
• Monitoring and application support environment

You will ideally have:

• Experience working across both IT and OT environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience working with internal and external technical teams
• Experience within utilities, water, wastewater or similar asset-intensive environments will be highly regarded
