Job summary

Court Services Victoria is seeking an experienced IT System Administrator to support AVC Technology and VGRS infrastructure across Victoria's courts.

You will manage Active Directory, network servers, backups, and provide desktop support to in-court users, ensuring continuity of hearings.

Responsibilities

  • Working in conjunction with the AVC Technology Systems Administrator, in the day-to-day operation and provision on AVC Technology services.
  • Performing System Administrator duties when required which encompass Active Directory Services and management of network critical servers on both AVC Technology and VGRS networks.
  • Maintaining backup and recovery processes on the AVC Technology and VGRS domain.
  • Providing a high level of client desktop support for and AVC Technology users and undertake immediate response to issues affecting court sittings.
  • Providing high level complaints investigation and resolution services specifically in relation to transcript production infrastructure, systems and facilities, consistent with AVC Technology service delivery priorities and standards.
  • Providing expert advice and support to other technical staff and performing advanced problem-solving analysis and diagnosis to resolve technical and operational service delivery issues in line with AVC Technology business standards and guidelines.
  • Contribute to technology that directly supports the Victorian justice system.

About CSV Digital

Information Technology Services (ITS) provides a comprehensive range of IT services including mobility, network services, software support, court services support, in-court technologies, IT vendor management, business analysis, procurement, transcription services, telephony and communications support. In its 'day to day' operations the function will aim to ensure courts are properly supported in their day-to-day work and service to the community.

About the role

This role operates within the Audio Visual Communication (AVC) Technology Services within CSV Digital. AVC Technology support in-court technologies and audio visual needs, including video conferencing, evidence presentation and transcript recording, in Victoria's courts.

The role is responsible for supporting the IT administration of both AVC Technology and Victorian Government Reporting Service (VGRS) local area network and servers and digital recording, including associated systems and applications used by Courts and VGRS.
