Job summary

Court Services Victoria seeks a highly analytical professional to drive service excellence through data, performance and continuous improvement across contracted services and court programs. You will lead monitoring, evaluation and the delivery of evidence-based insights to inform decision-making and strengthen outcomes.

Job description

Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

Join the Magistrates' Court of Victoria's Court Programs and Services Group and play a key role in enhancing specialist court programs that support some of the community's most vulnerable participants. Working across areas including mental health, homelessness, alcohol and other drug use, and family violence, you will help shape service delivery through meaningful data, performance insights and contract oversight.

Reporting to the General Manager, Program Services and Practice, you will lead the monitoring, evaluation and continuous improvement of contracted services and court programs. Leveraging advanced reporting and analytical capability, you will provide evidence-based insights that inform decision-making, strengthen service performance and improve participant outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading performance monitoring, evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives across contracted services and court programs.
• Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, SQL-based reporting solutions and business intelligence products.
• Analysing complex data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, translating findings into actionable insights.
• Monitoring service provider performance against contractual obligations, KPIs and program outcomes.
• Providing high-quality advice and recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Building strong partnerships across the Court and external service providers to support effective service delivery.

You are a highly analytical and strategic professional who thrives on turning complex data into meaningful insights and driving service improvement.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated experience providing authoritative advice on contract performance, service delivery outcomes, and business intelligence to senior leaders and decision-makers.
• Advanced capability in performance framework design, outcome measurement, and the development of meaningful indicators to assess service effectiveness and value for money.
• Experience leading complex analytical projects and driving improvements to reporting capability, data maturity, and contract management practices across an organisation.
