Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for the Battlespace Communications System Program in Brisbane. You will work on portable secure networking devices for military use, applying systems engineering across hardware, software, and disciplines.

You will lead verification activities, develop system documentation, and interface with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver within cost and schedule constraints while ensuring quality and security clearances where required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in complex technical development, integration, and verification projects.
• Hold tertiary qualifications that satisfy Engineers Australia (MIEAust) or equivalent in Systems Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing verification and test procedures and reports.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and conduct verification and test activities ( environmental, EMC/EMI, safety, human factors, and demonstrations).
• Act as test director for verification events at Boeing Test Facility and external facilities.
• Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation (system specs, SDDs, ICDs, FMECA).
• Support Engineering Change Proposals and Software Regression Analysis Reports.
• Manage and define system interfaces and boundaries between various systems.
• Work with project teams to deliver scope within cost and schedule constraints and quality guidelines.
• Communicate with a multi-disciplinary team across electronics, mechanical, software, security, training, and publications.
