Job summary

Ambition Recruitment is looking for an experienced Business Analyst in Sydney to own workflows, systems and processes across IT, finance and operations. You will talk with stakeholders at all levels to map requirements, drive improvements and support business cases.

In this role you will own the SharePoint environment, contribute to ERP/CRM initiatives and help modernise customer-facing platforms, delivering practical data-driven solutions and clear documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Business Analyst, Process Analyst, Service Analyst or similar role.
• Delivery experience on technology transformation programs (ERP/CRM exposure).
• Ability to gather, document and validate business requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation.
• Experience improving business processes and workflows.
• Confident facilitating workshops and stakeholder discussions.
• Understanding of ITIL and project delivery frameworks.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.
• Experience in managed services or IT service delivery is valued but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Review workflows, processes, compliance and SLAs, then recommend how systems can better support the business.
• Take ownership of the SharePoint environment, including redesign, structure, maintenance and ongoing improvements.
• Support the sales-related aspects of the ERP platform.
• Engage stakeholders to understand current processes and challenges, then gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements.
• Map and optimise processes across IT systems, finance operations and insurance requirements.
• Analyse operational, service, financial and customer data to identify trends and root causes, and propose practical solutions.
• Drive testing and implementation, and support business cases, cost-benefit analyses and impact assessments.
• Help modernise customer-facing platforms and collaborate with vendors and technology partners.
