Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an experienced Bank Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join the Primary Care Services team within Argyll & Bute HSCP. The post involves autonomous and collaborative practice, advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and prescribing, aiming to deliver high-quality, person-centred care across Primary Care and Urgent Care pathways.

Qualifications

• Registration on Part 1 of the NMC Register.
• Master’s degree/PgDip in Advanced Practice with Advanced Clinical Examination Skills and Extended Independent Prescribing.
• Extensive post-registration nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing and management of patients with undifferentiated and long-term conditions.
• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care across Primary Care Services and Urgent Care pathways.
• Provide leadership within the nursing team and contribute to service development, quality improvement and clinical governance.
• Assess and treat a wide range of presentations, order and interpret investigations, refer to specialists as needed.
