Job summary

Inchcape Glen Waverley is seeking an Automotive Technician apprentice to service, maintain and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards, learning under experienced technicians in a busy workshop.

You will participate in training, complete apprenticeship requirements, and gain a nationally recognised trade qualification while earning. A genuine passion for automotive mechanics, willingness to learn, and good numeracy and teamwork are essential; provisional or full driver’s licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Provisional or full driver's licence with a good driving record
• Previous automotive experience or mechanical knowledge will be highly regarded
• Manual driver's licence, or willingness to obtain one, is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Assist with vehicle servicing and maintenance activities
• Learn workshop procedures and safe work practices
• Work alongside qualified technicians to develop technical skills
• Perform basic mechanical tasks under supervision
• Participate in training and complete apprenticeship requirements
• Support workshop cleanliness and organisation
• Assist with vehicle movements as required
• Learn manufacturer servicing and repair standards
• Complete service documents and records accurately
• Deliver exceptional customer service when interacting with customers
