Job summary

Safari 4X4 Engineering is seeking a hands-on Technical Support Specialist to assist our local and international dealers and customers. You will diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving Safari-equipped vehicles and work directly with customers and internal teams to deliver practical solutions through to resolution.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, clear communication, and the ability to work independently within a small team.

Qualifications

• Automotive experience is essential, including mechanical and/or electrical experience with 4x4 vehicles.
• Experience troubleshooting automotive equipment, software and technical products.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• A current Victorian driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone, email and remote access.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot automotive hardware, software and vehicle-related issues.
• Manage and prioritise customer cases, following up to ensure resolution.
• Explain technical information clearly to customers with varying levels of knowledge.
• Identify recurring issues, assist with root cause investigations and escalate complex cases.
• Work with internal teams to deliver timely, effective solutions.
