Job summary

LK Automotive in Canberra is seeking a permanent, full-time automotive mechanic to diagnose, repair and service a wide range of passenger vehicles in a modern workshop. You will use diagnostic scan tools to identify faults, perform routine servicing, and replace engines, transmissions, steering and braking components while maintaining accurate service records.

Essential qualifications include Australian Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and at least 1 year post-qualification

Qualifications

• Australian Certificate III equivalence or higher qualification.
• At least 1 year post-qualification automotive mechanic experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a broad range of faults.
• Strong servicing and maintenance knowledge.
• Current driver's licence.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Hourigan Visa Migration Services Pty Ltd The successful applicant will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining a wide range of passenger vehicles while ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.

Perform routine vehicle servicing and maintenance. Repair and replace engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking, and other vehicle components. Conduct vehicle inspections and identify required repairs.

Carry out testing and adjustments following repairs. Maintain accurate service records and job documentation. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.

Provide professional customer service and technical advice where required. Essential Requirements Relevant qualification equivalent to an Australian Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or similar or higher qualification. At least 1 year of relevant post-qualification experience as an automotive mechanic.

Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair a broad range of vehicle faults. Strong understanding of vehicle servicing and maintenance procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Current driver's licence. Desirable Requirements Experience working with diagnostic scan tools. Experience with a variety of vehicle makes and models Experience supervising apprentices or junior mechanics.
