The role requires a trade qualification and hands-on experience with light vehicles in a fast-paced workshop. Applicants should have strong English communication, a current driver\'s licence, and at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional motor mechanic experience
• Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing light vehicles
• Strong spoken and written English communications skills
• Current and valid driver\'s licence
• Ability to inspect mechanical and electronic vehicle systems

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electronic faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic procedures
• Assess vehicle performance and identify the cause of mechanical issues
• Carry out repairs across engines, transmissions, steering, braking, air-conditioning and wheel alignment systems
• Complete scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance in line with manufacturer service requirements
• Inspect and repair vehicles affected by accidents or other damage
• Conduct roadworthiness and safety inspections to ensure vehicles meet relevant state requirements
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of servicing, inspections, repairs and maintenance
• Work closely with the vehicle operations team to keep vehicles available for customer bookings
• Identify parts and components requiring replacement and assist with spare-parts inventory management
• Maintain an organized, clean and WorkSafe-compliant workshop
• Communicate technical findings, repair recommendations and estimated costs to management
• Demonstrate consistent attention to safety, quality and workmanship
• Work efficiently both independently and as part of a professional team
