Job summary

EY Technology Consulting seeks an Automation Tester to enhance quality across modern insurance platforms, focusing on functional testing, Playwright UI automation and API validation. Based in Melbourne or Sydney, the role is hybrid at consultant level, with exposure to Guidewire and cloud-native testing while delivering client outcomes.

You will design and maintain automation frameworks, validate end-to-end insurance workflows, and contribute to AI-powered testing approaches and scalable

Qualifications

• Experience in functional testing of insurance processes across Quote, Policy, Claims, Billing and Underwriting workflows.
• Hands-on with Playwright UI automation and API testing.
• Familiarity with Guidewire Insurance Suite testing and integration/API validation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain UI automation frameworks using Playwright for insurance apps.
• Perform functional testing across insurance workflows and validate end-to-end journeys.
• Collaborate with Analysts and Product Owners to translate requirements into test scenarios.
• Execute cross-browser testing and support UAT activities.
• Contribute to automation PoCs and AI-driven quality approaches.
• Embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Build reusable automation components for coverage across applications.
