Job summary

Department of Transport and Planning in Melbourne–East is seeking an Automation Test Analyst to analyse requirements and design, develop and maintain automated testing solutions using Playwright, TypeScript, BDD and data-driven testing.

You will collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers and Project teams to build functional and regression test suites, investigate failures and contribute to testing standards and continuous improvement of technology delivery.

Qualifications

3+ years of automation testing experience (mandatory).
1–2 years hands-on Playwright and TypeScript experience (mandatory).
Experience with BDD, POM and data-driven testing (mandatory).
Proven enterprise testing and delivery capability, including functional and regression test suites.
Experience using Git/Bitbucket and Azure DevOps for source control, CI, testing and releases (mandatory).
Strong analytical skills, investigating automation failures and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain automated testing solutions across enterprise initiatives.
Develop and execute functional and regression test suites; investigate failures and support defect resolution.
Identify automation opportunities and contribute to testing standards and knowledge sharing.
