Job summary

Crossmuller on the Central Coast is seeking a commercially driven Automation Business Development Manager to identify opportunities, shape technical solutions and lead customers from first conversation through to project delivery.

You'll engage manufacturers and industrial businesses to understand operations, uncover inefficiencies and develop automation proposals that improve productivity, safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Technical sales or BD experience in industrial settings.
• Exposure to automation and control systems.
• Understanding of manufacturing or warehousing operations.
• Ability to turn customer challenges into clear solution opportunities.
• Commercial acumen with proposals and quotations.
• Strong presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with CAD layouts or robotics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build a strong pipeline of automation and systems integration opportunities.
• Develop new clients while growing existing customer relationships.
• Visit customer sites to understand processes and operational challenges.
• Work with engineers to develop practical, commercially viable solutions.
• Prepare scopes, budgets, proposals, quotations and tender submissions.
• Present solutions and negotiate commercial outcomes.
• Manage opportunities from initial concept through to project handover.
