Job summary

Planit is seeking an Automation Engineer Level 1 (E1) to join our 900+ testing experts across Australia. You will contribute to delivering high-quality testing and QA solutions, applying your coding skills and knowledge of modern cloud infrastructure, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will work on functional testing, automation packs, and Playwright-based test suites, with opportunities to grow through our training programmes and flexible, client-site, remote, or office-based

Qualifications

• Experience in functional testing across lifecycle phases.
• Proficient with Playwright for automation testing.
• Ability to amend automation packs and execute automated test suites.
• Familiarity with quality engineering practices across disciplines.
• Strong understanding of agile principles and ceremonies.
• Exposure to automation and performance testing tools is desirable.
• ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst certification.
• Committed to continuous learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver testing and quality solutions within agreed timeframes and standards.
• Apply detailed knowledge of testing practices and contribute to multiple disciplines.
• Follow Planit, client, and international standards for testing and delivery.
• Collect and report metrics, escalating scope, schedule, or budget issues as required.
• Work with a broad range of tools (e.g., test management, automation, CI/CD) and recommend improvements.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to Planit's frameworks and practices.
• Support flexible work arrangements, including client site, remote, and office-based delivery.
