Job summary

[Client] is seeking a Mechanical Draftsperson to join the Design Services team in the Illawarra region. You will work with engineers to turn concepts into accurate designs, creating 3D models and 2D drawings for fabrication.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of mechanical drafting experience, a relevant drafting qualification, and proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor. Australian standards knowledge is essential, with strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical drafting experience or equivalent
• Ability to turn concepts into practical drawings
• Familiar with Australian drafting standards and practices

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and detailed 2D drawings for fabrication and construction
• Prepare general arrangement and fabrication drawings
• Translate concepts into workable designs and drawings
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to resolve technical challenges
• Ensure drawings meet Australian Standards and project requirements
• Contribute to design reviews and project documentation
