Job summary

SNL Building Constructions Pty Ltd in Boolaroo NSW is seeking a Building Designer - Draftsperson to deliver projects from concept through to construction. You will design and document residential, commercial and industrial schemes, using AutoCAD, and collaborate with clients and internal teams to create practical, buildable solutions.

This role emphasizes compliance with the NCC and Australian standards, coordinating external consultants and ensuring accurate, high-quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Architecture or Building Design.
• Experience in building design and drafting within an office environment.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Sound knowledge of construction methods and detailing.
• Understanding of NCC, Australian Standards and planning controls, including LEP, DCP and CDC requirements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design and document residential, commercial and industrial projects.
• Prepare concept, working and construction drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop site-specific design solutions that respond to project constraints and opportunities.
• Coordinate and manage external consultants to ensure integrated project documentation.
• Collaborate with internal development, estimating and construction teams to deliver practical and cost-effective designs.
• Ensure compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, planning controls and council requirements.
