Job summary

MACA is seeking experienced Auto Electricians for the Dingo Range Gold Project near Western Australia. The role is FIFO from Perth on 2/1 or 2/2 rosters, with work on heavy mining equipment and a focus on preventative and breakdown maintenance.

Ideal candidates will hold an Australian Recognised Certificate III in Automative Electrical Technology, with Air Con ticket and CAT mining equipment exposure. HR licence is preferred; strong WHS compliance and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• Australian Recognised Certificate III in Automative Electrical Technology.
• Air Con Ticket and experience preferable.
• Experience working on Heavy Mobile Mining Equipment - CAT.
• HR drivers’ licence preferable.
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
• Good knowledge and ability to follow Work health and safety procedures and policies

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Diagnose, test and repair electrical and electronic faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
• Inspect, repair and replace wiring looms, electrical connectors, switches, sensors and electrical components.
• Perform electrical component replacements and repairs in accordance with OEM and site requirements.
• Complete planned maintenance, inspections and scheduled component replacements.
• Respond to breakdowns and electrical faults in the field to minimise equipment downtime.
• Complete accurate maintenance records, job cards and inspection documentation.
• Maintain electrical tools, test equipment and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition.

The Dingo Range Gold Project developed by Emerald Resources is a 1.41-million-ounce greenfield gold asset located in Western Australia’s North Laverton region, representing one of the state’s emerging gold developments.

Equipment we have on site: Trucks Komatsu 785-7 & HD1500, Diggers Komatsu PC1250 – Liebherr 9200 & 9300, CAT equipment D9 & D10 , Dozer 16m, Grader 777 watercarts, Epiroc T45 Drills.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
