Redpath Australia is seeking a qualified Auto Electrician to maintain and support electrical systems on underground mining equipment at Olympic Dam. You will work across workshop, underground service bays, and field service, with a focus on safety and reliability.

This full-time role offers 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rosters, 12-hour shifts, and FIFO from major cities. Training and career progression are supported within a safety‑driven culture.

Qualifications

• Auto Electrical Trade Qualification required.
• Experience with heavy mobile mining equipment; underground preferred.
• Air conditioning licence preferred.
• Valid manual driver’s licence.
• Positive, proactive attitude aligned with safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and components on underground mobile equipment.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
• Carry out scheduled and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Provide technical support and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Ensure all work complies with Redpath policies and safety procedures.
• Identify and manage potential risks.

Take the next step in your mining career with Redpath Australia. We\'re seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join our team at Olympic Dam, working on a wide range of underground mobile equipment in a supportive and safety‑driven environment.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity offering excellent training, job security, and an even-time roster to balance work and life.

About the Role

As an Auto Electrician at Olympic Dam, you\'ll be responsible for maintaining and supporting the electrical systems on a modern fleet of underground mining equipment including:

• Sandvik Jumbos
• Cable Bolters
• Loaders and Trucks
• Normet Spray Rigs, Agi Trucks and Charge‑Up Rigs
• Light vehicles and ancillary equipment

Your work will include workshop, underground service bay, field service and breakdown tasks.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and electronic components on underground mobile equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs or replacements as required.
• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.

• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with Redpath policies and procedures.

Roster & Conditions

• 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotating day and night shifts
• 12-hour shifts

FIFO from all capital cities
