Job summary

CPR Group is seeking an Auto Electrician to maintain, diagnose and repair electrical systems on heavy mobile plant across mining and civil operations. You’ll be part of a skilled team focused on equipment reliability, productivity, and safety for our clients.

The role requires a trade qualification and auto electrical experience, with mine site inductions highly regarded. A valid driver’s license and Order 45 Medical (or willing to obtain) are essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on heavy mobile plant and equipment.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on heavy plant and equipment.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Fault-find using diagnostic software and testing equipment.
• Complete maintenance documentation and service records.

About the Role

You will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing electrical systems on a variety of heavy mobile plant and equipment across mining and civil operations. As part of a highly skilled team, you will play a vital role in ensuring equipment reliability, productivity, and safety for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair electrical faults on heavy mobile plant and equipment

Conduct scheduled and unplanned maintenance on heavy plant and equipment

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems

Fault-find using diagnostic software and testing equipment

Complete maintenance documentation and service records

Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest safety and quality standards

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Trade qualification and previous experience as an Auto Electrician

Previous mine site inductions and mining industry experience is highly regarded

Current Driver’s License

Current Order 45 Medical or willing to complete

Demonstrated electrical expertise in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of heavy plant and equipment

Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics

Caterpillar, Liebherr, Hitachi, and Komatsu experience is highly regarded
