Job summary

Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship or formal qualification in automotive electrical work.
• Current NSW automotive electrician licence or certification recognized in NSW.
• Proven experience in a professional workshop as an Auto Electrician.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and circuit analysis.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and electrical testing tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical faults and malfunctions in vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
• Repair and replace faulty electrical components, including starters, alternators, batteries, wiring harnesses, and lighting systems.
• Install and maintain vehicle electrical systems, including audio and security systems, and aftermarket accessories.
• Perform routine electrical inspections and preventative maintenance for safety and reliability.
• Keep up to date with advances in automotive electrical technology and best practices.

What you'll be doing

• Diagnosing electrical faults and malfunctions in vehicles using specialised diagnostic equipment and tools
