Job summary

Marrickville Auto Body Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Automotive Electrician to join Simon Auto & All Mechanical Repairs.

The successful applicant will diagnose, repair and maintain electrical wiring and electronic systems in motor vehicles and will perform the following duties:

Qualifications

• Strong diagnostic, fault finding, and problem-solving skills.
• At least 2 years' work experience in automotive electrical, diagnosis, repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical, electronic and mechanical faults in light and heavy vehicles using diagnostic scan tools and testing equipment.
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing automotive electrical systems, wiring, and electronic components.
• Testing and replacing batteries, alternators, starter motors, generators, and voltage regulators.
• Repair and replace damaged or faulty automotive wiring, connectors, switches, fuses, and other electrical components.
• Installing and connecting electrical equipment, electronic components, and vehicle accessories to vehicle power supplies.
• Dismantling, inspecting and replacing defective electrical and electronic components and assemblies.
• Diagnose and adjust engine control systems and related electronic components where required.
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting, vehicle servicing, and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with general vehicle servicing and related mechanical repairs where required.
• Work alongside other technicians to diagnose and resolve complex vehicle faults.
• Testing vehicle systems after repairs to ensure they are operating safely and correctly.
• Maintain records, tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
