Job summary

Target Business Services is seeking a Cook for a busy Indian restaurant in Wagga Wagga, NSW. The role requires preparing and presenting a variety of authentic Indian dishes, following established recipes and ensuring food safety and quality.

You will work in a fast-paced kitchen handling meat, seafood and vegetarian options with a focus on consistency. Minimum one year full‑time experience and a Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year relevant full-time experience as a Cook or in a closely related role.
• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, Hospitality or related qualification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present authentic Indian dishes per recipes and standards.
• Prepare ingredients, marinate meats, vegetables and seafood for daily needs.
• Make sauces, gravies and spice blends using traditional techniques.
• Cook using tandoori and other methods, ensuring flavour and presentation.
• Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow recipes, portions and store ingredients with proper labeling.
• Coordinate with staff to serve dine‑in, takeaway and delivery orders.
• Maintain cleanliness, HACCP compliance and food safety procedures.
• Assist with other kitchen duties to support operations.
