Job summary

POLITICO is seeking an entrepreneurial Country Manager to establish and grow POLITICO’s presence in Australia, based in Sydney. You will lead the Australian business as the senior commercial and sales representative, shaping strategy and delivering revenue growth.

Working closely with editorial and product teams, you’ll build partnerships, manage key accounts and drive subscriptions across government, corporate, and public affairs sectors.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of leadership, commercial strategy and market expansion experience.
• Proven track record of launching new markets, partnerships and driving revenue.
• Strong knowledge of Australia’s political, regulatory and corporate affairs landscape.

Responsibilities

• Lead POLITICO’s Australia business as senior commercial and sales representative.
• Deliver financial goals, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Serve as a primary enterprise seller for POLITICO Pro and manage key customer relationships.
• Build long-term market position through partnerships and senior stakeholder engagement.
• Recruit and lead a local high-performing team as the business grows.
