Job summary

Brunswick Group in Sydney seeks a Director to lead public affairs growth in Australia, advising CEOs and boards on policy, regulatory and reputational issues. You will work with a global network to craft strategy, manage stakeholder engagement, and shape conversations around business objectives.

You will drive client leadership, develop campaigns, and mentor teams across Australia and Asia-Pacific, delivering high-impact outcomes for multinational clients.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in public affairs, government relations, policy, strategic communications, or related fields.
• Deep understanding of Australia’s political, regulatory and policymaking environment.
• Experience advising senior executives and business leaders on complex public affairs and stakeholder issues.
• Proven track record in business development and originating opportunities.
• Strong networks across government, industry bodies, think tanks, and media in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering client mandates from research through strategy development and implementation.
• Advise clients on public affairs, government relations, policy communications, issues management and reputation.
• Develop high-quality client-ready materials and presentations for executives and boards.
• Translate policy developments into clear strategic implications and recommendations.
• Design and execute stakeholder engagement campaigns that support business objectives.
